How to use Skype emoticons?

An emotion icon which is better known as emoticon, is a figurative representation of facial expressing. It is usually used during communication to express the personal feelings or mood. A large number of Skype emoticons can be used during Skype chatting. Having a Skype account is minimum requirement to use free emoticons in Skype. Here is provided the easier method to use Skype emoticons and other hidden Skype emoticons.

  1. At first, you have to login to your Skype account. For this click on Skype icon present on desktop. It will open the Skype sign in page.
  2. Or type www.skype.com on your web browser and click the sign in button present at the top right corner of page.
  3. Enter your Skype name and password to the fields provided there in Skype sign in page. Then Click on blue colored Sign in tabs present at the bottom of page to login to Skype.
  4. Choose a name of your friend or family from Skype contact list with whom you want to chat and click on the blue text chat button to start the text chatting.
  5. Click on the blue colored face present on the right side of text writing box. Then a list of emoticons will appeared on the screen. Select one or more emoticons by clicking on its face.
  6. Now the emoticons will appeared on text box. Click enter button to send the emoticons. You can send text too along with the emoticons.

There are large number of hidden Skype emoticons which are not included in the list of Skype emoticons. These hidden emoticons can be created by using short code. The list of hidden emoticons with their short code is given as below:

The flag of any countries can also be used as Skype emoticons. It can be created easily by using the short code. The short code is (flag:XX) where the XX is the country code of flag you want to use. This country code XX is usually same as the country code that is used officially for web address.
